Playtoy Motorsport 2009
Welcome to Playtoy Motorsport - a site created by a group of car enthusiasts. This site has been created to share our experience with the many car related activities we are involved with, mainly focusing on Hillclimbing, sprints and track days. Along with progress reports on road cars and the modifications we make to them.
You will find reviews on cars we are running, products we use ranging from modifications to car care products. We are also very much into our photography which we pride ourselves on - the majority of the photography used in this site has been taken by our own photographer unless stated otherwise.
Keep an eye on the events we are attending - largely we are involved with the hillclimbing scene, however we also take part in a number of track days and attend shows such as the Autosport International show.
We now have a new products section, which will review products we have had first hand experience with, this starts off with our experience of the KTEC Carbon Fibre Front Splitter for the Renault Clio Sport 172.
This year brings a new look for the Playtoy site, along with a host of new cars! Simon will be competing in the 1600 Caterham running slick tyres and aero screen mostly at Harewood Hillclimb after selling the Renault Clio Cup Race Car.
Rick is also building a RAW Striker to be powered by a 2.0 vauxhall red top - watch this space its looking like it will be a full on hillclimb tool!
The Peugeot 106 Rallye driven by David Medley is now running on R1 Motorbike Throttle Bodies, also a group n exhaust is on it now giving it a substantial power hike, it will be competing in a number of Hillclimbs at Harewood, as well as a few track days.
On the road car front, we now have some exciting developments, there will be a feature on our Renault Sport Megane R26, Dave will be running a Renault Sport Clio 197 Cup in Glacier White, my Renault Sport Clio 182 Cup is slowly been tinkered with to get it ready for the odd track day. Also we will keep you updated with the developments of any new acquisitions and modifications!
For updates on how we get on through out the year, keep a check here on our progress!
