It was decided to leave the car as standard mechanically and go down the route of stripping out any excess weight. All interior trim has now been removed with the exception of the dashboard and door cards (to offer protection to the passengers). This has helped with the braking ability, handling and straight line speed, making the Xsara a lot of fun!
Nathaniel (aka Family Man) piloting the Xsara round Marham (apologies for language) After a successfull september at Marham, it was decided to keep the same track layout. This seemed as good as ever, with a good range of fast and tight bends, with a long straight thrown in to have a good go at a top speed run. When there wasnt a head wind the Xsara was indicating 150mph on the straights! With the surface being concrete in places, tyre wear was quite an issue, throughout the weekend we went through 10 tyres in total, but considering the fun that was had it wasnt a major issue!
Simon Medley (stig) piloting the Xsara Track Slag round Marham
On the sunday lunch time, when the track was on a break it was decided that we would give the Honda Accord Type R, Citroen Xsara VTS Track Slag and the Volvo S60R a race down the runway... see the outcome here!...
