After our experiences with the success of stripping all the weight from the Xsara VTS, it was decided to go down a similar route with the 106 Rallye, however to a slightly lesser extent. The rear seats were removed along with the spare wheel and parcel shelf to save a bit of weight. Just in time before the track day some R1 bike throttle bodies were installed on the 106, along with a group n exhaust to liven up the performance a little!
The Peugeot ran without faults, after our doubts the engine would survive due to the long straights at Marham. However it was fine, the car did develop a noisy gearbox before Marham, this seemed to quieten down throughout the weekend! The Xsara also performed without fault throughout the weekend!
This months event saw the track largely the same as it was in april, with some minor tweaks to some of the bends.
Due to the bullet camera battery being left at home - video footage is limited to hand held mobile phones and video camcorders unfortunately, but still gives an impression of the fun that was had!
